De Zalze Golf Estate

Course Information:

De Zalze offers a fine mix of parkland holes. Its main defenses are the water features which come into play on many of the holes. The oak-lined Blaauwklippen River winds its way through the golf estate and comes into play at various intervals.

Peter Matkovich has made the most of this beautiful setting and created a course that places a premium on accuracy. Together with the Spier resort, the club was the host venue for the 2006 World Amateur Team Championships (Eisenhower and Esporito Santo trophies) which attracted teams from approximately 80 countries.

The De Zalze golf course is the first course in the world to be awarded the ‘Fair Trade in Tourism’ certification.
